2024 Topps Holiday - Overview
The Holidays are upon us and with Thanksgiving right around the corner, Topps once again brings the holiday cheer with the 2024 Topps Holiday set. The Topps Holiday set puts a festive spin on the flagship design. The light blue to white border evokes a wintry feel and neon Christmas figures augment the overall aesthetic.
2024 Topps Holiday is available in three formats: Mega Box, Tin and Advent Calendar. The Mega Box contains 10 packs with 10 cards per pack. There is an oversized ornament box topper and a guaranteed auto or relic. The Holiday Tin is in a globe ornament shaped package. It contains 1 pack with 59 cards in it. The advent calendar has 24 packs with 10 cards per pack.
There are 200 cards in this set. One of the things Holiday is known for is being, in some cases, a more updated set than update. For example Eloy Jimenez is portrayed in his Baltimore Orioles uniform and Randy Arozarena is shown in his Seattle Mariners gear. Neither one showed up in the 2024 Topps Update. Only Chrome Update which was released around the same time has these guys with their new teams.
One interesting side note, card number H14 Jonatan Clase. The front of the card uses the same photo as his Update and shows him with the Mariners. The back of the card shows him with his new team, the Toronto Blue Jays.
New to the 2024 Holiday set are color parallels. Traditionally, Holiday has 2 or 3 parallels to chase. This year there are six parallels available in the Mega Box.

The Holiday Tins offer up six exclusive parallels to chase.

Green Metallic Holiday Tree – (1:462 tin)

Image variations are a fun aspect of this set. Santa hats, Christmas Lights necklaces or Candy Cane bats can be added to the photo to make it more festive. In years plastic there were up to three levels of variation. This year there is only one level of photo variations. As with last year, 50 cards in the set get the variation treatment. There is one card that has an image variation, but not a base card. Card H165 Jazz Chisholm has an image variation. In the base set this card is Paul Skenes. Skenes was presumably a last minute replacement in the Holiday set.
Aside from the hit (auto or relic), the only insert typically found in the Mega box is the oversized ornament. The Hidden Elf was added to the inserts, however, these are short printed as they fall in 1:200 packs.
As with most of 2024 the key rookies to look for in this set are Elly De La Cruz, Jackson Merrill, Jackson Holliday, Jackson Chourio, Wyatt Langford and Paul Skenes.
