2024 Panini Prizm Baseball Overview
The 2024 Panini Prizm Baseball unleashes a 300 card set combining legendary players and rising prospects. This set features chrome-like technology and a bevy of parallels to add some flash to your collection. This product was released on December 20, 2024.
As with 2023 Panini products, all sets will feature retired stars and Hall of Famers alongside rookies and prospects. While there are little to no current veteran players, this set does boast some of the biggest names in the game like: Ken Griffey Jr, Reggie Jackson and Roberto Clemente, to name a few.
For the 300 card base set, there are 29 different parallels to chase. This includes 9 that are not numbered. The rest are numbered /499 and lower, including two 1/1s.
There are five inserts sets this year:
Color Blast
Fireworks
Hype
Prizmatic
Top Tier
The players featured on the insert checklists are predominantly prospects and rookies. Four of the five insert sets offer seven different parallels, with the exception being Color Blast. Only the base version of this case hit is available.
Not all of the key rookies from 2024 can be found in this product. This is due to licensing issues between Panini and MLB. You will find rookies such as Elly De La Cruz, Jackson Chourio and Paul Skenes. However, players like Jasson Dominguez, Wyatt Langford and Jackson Merrill are not found on this checklist.
Panini Prizm can be found in four basic box formats:
Hobby Boxes
First Off the Line
Mega Boxes
Blaster Boxes
Hobby boxes come with 12 packs with 12 cards each. On average a hobby box will yield 3 autographs, 12 inserts and 22 parallels.
Blaster boxes contain 6 packs with 5 cards per pack. The only guarantee is that you can pull 4 Blue Ice Prizms per blaster on average. The blaster may also contain exclusive Red, Blue or Green Pulsar Prizms.
The Mega boxes will contain 6 packs of 10 cards each. Each box will include 1 autograph and 12 pink ice parallels. This format will be released a few weeks after the release date on 1/12/2025.
