2024 Score-a-Treat Football Bundle
The 2024 NFL season is near and the first release featuring the new rookie class is 2024 Score. However, this is not your usual Score Football set. This is the Halloween version of the set, called Score-a-Treat. This set is sold in 40 pack bundles with 3 cards per pack. Each card is a Halloween Parallel. There are 2 base parallels: Orange Pumpkin and Green Bats.
Score Football combines current rookies and stars with NFL legends to compose a 349 card set. There is a 300 base card set and a 49 card Rising Stars set. Both sets have their own numbering. This year’s Score football features the majority of the 2024 Rookie class including Marvin Harrison Jr, Jayden Daniels and Brenden Rice, son of NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice. However the #1 overall pick Caleb Williams seems to be missing from this set.
One thing that interests us here at Box Score are non-standard parallels. We enjoyed opening up blasters of 2023 Topps Update Baseball because the packs could contain a Halloween themed parallel. So when I found this bundle at my local WalMart I had to open one up.
This release is also designed for people who want to give out something other than candy to Trick or Treaters at Halloween. These packs are a little more difficult to open since they only contain three cards. The packs come in a tray that is stacked three packs wide. The bundle I opened had one extra pack in it so it contained 41 packs.
Each 3 card pack contained either one Orange Pumpkin and two Green Bat parallels or two Orange and one Green parallel. The collation was fairly consistent in this bundle. I ended up with 62 Orange Pumpkin base cards & 61 Green Bat base cards. I did not pull a Trick or Treat /99.
Overall this was a fun rip. This release is designed to be a fun take on the traditional Score football set. There are no inserts or hits in this set, but it still provides a first-look at the 2024 rookie class and kicks off the season in a fun way.
