In the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft the Tampa Bay Rays selected Aidan Cremarosa in the 8th Round. He was drafted out of Fresno State after his junior season. Cremarosa began his professional baseball journey with the 2026 season. He spent the entire 2026 season with the Charleston RiverDogs.
Like many young pitchers, Cremarosa has a long road ahead of him to make it to the mound in Tampa. However, in just his sixth start for the Charleston RiverDogs, Cremarosa made his presence known. On May 8, 2026 Cremarosa pitched a solo no-hitter against the Augusta GreenJackets. (Single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves) In this game he walked only one batter and struck out 11 on 101 pitches. This was the first no-hitter for the RiverDogs since 2018 and the first nine-inning solo no-hitter in the team’s history.

With the no-hitter, Cremarosa recorded his fourth win of the season. While he would not earn another win all season Cremarosa would dominate the Carolina League posting a 2.82 ERA in 17 games, 16 starts and allowing a 0.90 WHIP. During the 2026 Carolina League Playoffs Cremarosa pitched in 1 game, on September 10th, and gave up 3 earned runs in 4 innings while striking out 5.
Cremarosa did not pitch enough innings in 2026 to qualify for Carolina League Stats Leaders. However the number he did put up would have landed him near the top of the league leaders.
2026 Stats with the Charleston RiverDogs:

Aidan Cremarosa racked up the accolades with his performance during the 2026 season. He was named the Carolina League Pitcher of the Week on May 10th after his dominant ho-hitter. After the season he was named a Carolina League Postseason All-Star. To top it all off, Cremarosa was named the Carolina League Pitcher of the Year.
Cremarosa is no stranger to pitching honors. In 2025, while with Fresno State, he was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Year. He was also named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team. Cremarosa was the primary Saturday starter for the Bulldogs. This is one of two roles traditionally reserved for the team’s best pitchers. The other role being Friday night starter.
Cremarosa put himself on the Tampa Bay Rays radar when he played his senior year of high school at IMG Academy in Brandenton, FL. Native of Southern California, Cremarosa attended John Burroughs High School in Burbank, CA for his first three years of High School. After graduating from IMG Academy, he moved back to the West Coast to pitch for Fresno State. His success there led the Rays to draft him after his junior year.
2026 Choice Charleston RiverDogs Team Set #1 Card
In 2027 Cremarosa should start the year with Tampa Bay’s High-A affiliate, the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Cremarosa will likely land just outside of Tampa Bay’s Top 30 prospect list heading into 2027. However, I can see a scenario where it would be possible for him to land in the 25-30 range based on his 2026 stats and projections for next year. If he is not on the list to start 2027 and he continues to perform at the same level, he will most assuredly find himself on the Top 30 list by the end of 2027.
